This 23 year old athletic female presented to our office after a triplet pregnancy. Her problems included the following: multiple stretch marks over her lower and upper abdomen, loose abdominal skin, laxity of her abdominal wall (fascia), excess fat of her flanks (hips), loose skin in her groin and pubic area.
Here is our same patient one year after undergoing an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with a liposuction of her flanks (hips). As you can see, all of her previous problems have been corrected and she now has a shapely waistline with aesthetically pleasing proportions.
One of the major complaints from our patients thinking about having a tummy tuck is the desire to get rid of the “pot belly” appearance when the abdomen is relaxed. Here is the same patient with her abdomen completely relaxed.
One year after surgery, the same relaxed pose shows the dramatic results that one can get with tightening of the abdominal wall, accomplished with a tummy tuck procedure.
